Notice under "Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883."
I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by "The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883," give notice that on the 31st day of October, 1886, the title to the lands mentioned in the Schedule herein became, within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further, that dealings with the said lands will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 10th day of December, 1886.
SCHEDULE.
NAME by which land is known: Motukawa No. 1. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Whanganui. Area: 2,000 acres.
Name by which land is known: Motukawa No. 2. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Whanganui. Area: 28,000 acres.
Name by which land is known: Oruataiaka. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Waiapu, Gisborne. Area: 640 acres.

Sitting of the Native Land Court for the Subdivision of Hereditaments.

Whanganui, 22nd November, 1886.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a sitting of this Court to be held at New Plymouth, in the District of Taranaki, on the 7th day of January next, will be heard the applications of the persons whose names appear in the first column for the subdivision of the hereditaments comprised in the Crown grants of the pieces of land the names of which appear in the second column, situate in the districts named in the third column of the Schedule hereto.
In respect of the time and place for the hearing of the several claims following, it is notified that the Court will be opened at New Plymouth on the above-named day; but any of the said claims may, at the discretion of the Presiding Judge, be adjourned for hearing on such day and at such other place within the district as he may deem convenient. Persons claiming interest should therefore make application, in open Court, for such adjournment, or cause the same to be made in their behalf, so as to avoid useless trouble and expense.
The Court will itself give due notice of any such adjournment.
