Setting apart Land in the Canterbury Land District for Perpetual Leasing under “The Land Act, 1885.”

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease, with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885.”

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby revoke the Proclamation issued on the thirteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, setting apart the forest lands described in the Schedule thereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for a State forest within the provisions of the said Act, and in lieu thereof do, with the like advice and consent, set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto, as and for a State forest.

STATE FOREST RESERVE.
Amended Description.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1,830 acres, more or less, situate in the Parish of Whangamarino, Maramarua, and Rangiriri Survey Districts, Provincial District of Auckland, commencing at the south-eastern angle of Section No. 221 of the Parish of Whangamarino aforesaid. Bounded towards the North-west generally by that section and by Section No. 389 of the same parish to the Great South Road; towards the North-east by the Great South Road aforesaid and by the crossing of that road; again towards the North-west by the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section Nos. 160 and 159, Parish of Whangamarino, and the crossing of the Kaipara-Puniu Railway; towards the North generally by the road which forms the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 342, 343, 344, 345, 346, 347, 348, and 349, Parish of Whangamarino, and by that road continued to the northernmost angle of Section No. 230 of the said parish; towards the South-east generally by the last-named section and the shore of Waikere Lake to the termination of a line drawn due east from a point 900 links due north of the northernmost angle of Section No. 296; thence by that line and by a line from the point before described to the northernmost angle of Section No. 296 aforesaid; thence by the north-western boundary of Section No. 296 aforesaid; towards the South-west by the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 146 of the same parish; towards the South generally by the northern boundary of the last-named section and by the edge of a swamp to the shore of the Karaka Lake; thence by the shore of the aforesaid lake to the termination of the road which forms the northern boundary of Sections Nos. 181 and 182 of the Township of Rangiriri; thence by that road to its intersection with the Great South Road; thence towards the West by the Great South Road to its intersection with a right line drawn due east from the northernmost angle of Section No. 266 of the Parish of Whangamarino; thence by the crossing of the Great South Road and by the line last mentioned to its intersection with a right line drawn due south from the south-eastern angle of Section No. 221 of the Parish of Whangamarino aforesaid; and towards the West by that line to the point of commencement.
