Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that HARLAN PAGE BARBER, of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, General Merchant and Commission Agent, has applied, on behalf of the CELERY, BEEF, AND IRON EXTRACT COMPANY, of 124, Market Street, San Francisco, California, United States of America, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1886,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz.:—
Description of Trade Mark.
An ornamented label, with the words “Dr. Henley’s Extract of Celery” over the representation of a bull’s head in an oval frame; beneath are the words “Beef and Iron, Delicious & Nutritious.”
Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.

SUNKEN ROCK, NORTH OF TUTUKAKA, EAST COAST, NORTH ISLAND, N.Z.

CAPTAIN Dowd, of the cutter “Leo,” reports the existence of a sunken rock about two miles to the northward of the Northernmost Gable (north of Tutukaka), and fully half a mile off shore. When seen at low water the sea was breaking on the rock.

FIXED GREEN LIGHT AT KIAMA.
On and after Saturday, the 1st January, 1887, a fixed green light of the fourth order will be exhibited from sunset to sunrise on the hill above the Blowhole Rocks, Kiama, which will be visible from seaward from eight to ten miles in ordinary weather.
The green harbour light at present established on the breakwater will not be interfered with.
