A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Proclamation of the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart land for a special settlement for members of the Police and Armed Constabulary Force, shall be and the same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Land taken for a Road in Kirikiri roa Road District, Provincial District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Kirikiri roa Road District, Provincial District of Auckland:

And whereas the Kirikiri roa Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so mentioned shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in the inhabitants of the Kirikiri roa Road District, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

And whereas the Coromandel County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so mentioned shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Coromandel County, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
