A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to
time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks
or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same
aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclama-
tion may fix a day on which the land shall be open for appli-
cation; and that he may also in like manner set apart for
sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from
time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclama-
tion: And whereas the land specified in the Schedule
hereto was, with other lands, by Proclamation dated the
fifteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty, proclaimed as set apart for sale on deferred pay-
ments: And whereas it is expedient to withdraw the said
land from the deferred-payment system:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby revoke the Proclamation above
referred to, so far as it relates to the section therein men-
tioned and included in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim
and declare that the said section is hereby withdrawn from
the operation of the deferred-payment system.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:

It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the County of Piako, containing
by admeasurement 45 acres 1 rood 27 perches, more or less,
being part of Section No. 15, Block IX., Te Aroha Survey
District. Bounded towards the North-west by a line, being
the production in a north-easterly direction of the north-
western boundary of Section No. 16 of the said Block IX.,
2300 links; towards the North-east by a line bearing east
51° 15′ south, 2271 links; towards the South-east by the pro-
duction of the northern side of Wilson Street, and by that
street, 3841 links; again towards the North-west and towards
the South-west by the said Section No. 16, 1358 links and
1100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Auck-
land.

Delegating Powers under “The Cemeteries Act, 1885,” to
the Wairoa County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth
day of October, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by
“The Cemeteries Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,”
and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His
Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby delegate to the Wairoa County Council
the powers conferred upon him by section six of “The
Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appointment and removal
of Trustees for the cemetery described in the Schedule
hereto; and doth declare that this Order in Council shall
take effect as from the first day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-six.

SCHEDULE.

WAIROA CEMETERY.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke’s
Bay, containing by admeasurement 9 acres and 32 perches,
more or less, being Suburban Section No. 54, Class No. 2, in
the Township of Clyde. Bounded towards the North-east by
Sections Nos. 33 and 34, 1350 links; towards the South-east
by Section No. 55, 700 links; towards the South-west by
Section No. 54A, reserve, 1280 links; and towards the North-
west by a public road, 700 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
