A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the two hundred and thirty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and at the request of the Corporation of the Borough of Parnell, in whom the lands are vested, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1885.”

Districts constituted under “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Inglewood, Hawera, Waimate Plain, and Waitara Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into five marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—
INGLEWOOD DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 48, 44, and 45, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, Paritutu Survey District, by Sections Nos. 32, 41, 80, and 55, Tarurutangi, Paritutu Survey District, Sections Nos. 203 and 127, Huirangi, Paritutu Survey District, and Sections Nos. 115, 116, 206, and part of 207, Huirangi, Waitara Survey District; towards the North-east by the Rimutauteka Native Block to the Kurapete Stream; thence towards the North-west by that stream to its confluence with the Manganui River; thence towards the East by that river to Block VI., Huiroa Survey District; thence again towards the North by Blocks I., II., and III. of the said Huiroa Survey District; again towards the East by Blocks VIII., XII., and part of XVI. of Huiroa Survey District aforesaid to the summit of the watershed between the Waitara River and the Patea River; thence towards the South and South-west by that summit and the western watershed of the Ahuroa Stream and by Croydon and Salisbury Roads to Tariki Road; thence again towards the South by the last-mentioned road to the Waipuku Stream; thence towards the South-east by that stream to its source; and thence by a right line to Mount Egmont; and thence again towards the North-west and towards the West by a right line from Mount Egmont to the source of the Waiwakaiho Stream, and by that stream to Section No. 48, Waiwakaiho Hundred, Paritutu Survey District aforesaid.
STRATFORD DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki bounded towards the North-west by a right line from Mount Egmont to the source of the Waipuku Stream; thence by the north bank of that stream to Tariki Road; thence towards the North by the north side of that road; thence towards the North-east and again towards the North by the northern sides of Salisbury and Croydon Roads, the western watershed of the Ahuroa Stream, and the summit of the watershed between the Waitara River and the Patea River to a point due north of the northernmost corner of the Toko A Block; thence towards the East by a right line to that corner; thence towards the South-east and again towards the North-east by the confiscation boundary-line to the Mangawhero Stream; thence towards the South by that stream and the Waingongoro Stream to a railway reserve at the southern boundary of Block IX., Ngaire Survey District; thence towards the West by Stuart Road to Eltham Road; thence again towards the South by Eltham Road to the Kapuni Stream; and thence towards the South-west by the said Kapuni Stream to its source; and thence by a right line to Mount Egmont.
HAWERA DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki bounded towards the North-east and East generally by the east bank of the Patea River from the confiscation boundary-line at the south-western corner of the Toko A Block to the ocean; thence towards the South-west by the ocean to the Waingongoro Stream; thence towards the North-west and North by the west bank of that stream and the north bank of the Mangawhero Stream to the confiscation boundary-line; thence again towards the South-west and North-west by the confiscation boundary-line aforesaid to the Patea River aforesaid.
WAIMATE PLAINS DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki bounded towards the North-east by a right line from Mount Egmont to the source of the Kapuni Stream; thence by the east bank of that stream to Eltham Road; thence towards the North by the north side of the said Eltham Road to Stuart Road; thence again towards the North-east by the east side of the said Stuart Road to a railway reserve forming the southern boundary of Block IX., Ngaire Survey District; thence again towards the North by the north side of the said railway reserve to the Waingongoro Stream; thence towards the South-east by the said Waingongoro Stream to the ocean; thence towards the South by the ocean; and towards the North-west and West by the western bank of the Oeo River from its mouth to its source; and thence by a right line to Mount Egmont.
WAITARA DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki bounded towards the North and North-west by the ocean from the Waiongona River to the Mokau River; thence again towards the North and North-west generally by the latter river to its source; thence towards the East by a right line to where the Wanganui River is intersected by the 39th parallel of south latitude; thence towards the South-east by that river to the boundary between the Provincial Districts of Wellington and Taranaki; and thence by that boundary-line as far as the confiscation boundary-line; thence towards
