NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” that, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” and the Acts amending the same, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Sydenham, commonly called the Sydenham Borough Council, propose to widen two streets, named Lord Brougham Street and Andrew Street respectively, situate in Rural Section No. 235, in the Borough of Sydenham, and for that purpose to take the several parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the streets proposed to be widened and the lands required to be taken for that purpose, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands, so far as they can be ascertained, can be seen at the Borough Council Offices, Bowen Street, Sydenham, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day excepting Saturdays, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. till noon.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the proposed widening of the said streets or to the taking of the said lands as aforesaid, and such objections must be delivered at the Borough Council Offices, Sydenham, on or before the 17th day of November, 1886.

SCHEDULE.
THE several parcels of land in the Borough of Sydenham, being part of Rural Section No. 235, hereinafter mentioned:—
Lot 1. All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 9·2 perches, more or less, bounded on the North by Lord Brougham Street; on the East by St. John’s Street; on the South by a line parallel to and 33 links south of the standard survey-line on Lord Brougham Street; and on the West by a line bearing 179° 8′, starting from a point 133½ links east of Standard-survey Station No. 128 and 21·7 links south of the said standard-survey line: as shown on the plan above mentioned, and numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Lot 2. All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 6 perches, more or less, bounded on the East by St. John’s Street; on the South by Andrew Street; on the West by a line bearing 359° 8′, starting from a point 498·3 links west of St. John’s Street; and on the North by a line parallel to and 516·4 links south of the standard-survey line on Lord Brougham Street: as shown on the plan above mentioned, and numbered 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Lot 3. All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11·4 perches, more or less, bounded on the East by the Waltham Road; on the South by Andrew Street; on the West by St. John’s Street; and on the North by a line parallel to and 516·4 links south of the standard-survey line on Lord Brougham Street: as shown on the plan above mentioned, and numbered 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

I, WILLIAM WYCLIFFE LINNEY, Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of London, and Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a duly-registered Medical Practitioner of Great Britain, residing at Hastings, do now give notice of my intention of applying, on the 25th day of October, 1886, to have my name placed on the Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of New Zealand; and I have this day deposited with the Registrar at Napier the evidence of my qualification in terms of “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869.”
