Special Claims cancelled.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned special claims cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no special claims of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

Ross Extended Company; T746, Westland Mining District; 40 acres.

Donnelly’s Creek Company; T779, Westland Mining District; 54 acres 3 roods 15 perches.

Gold-mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Reef ton on or before the 13th day of October, 1886.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Reef ton.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: W. Hindmarsh. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: The Globe Gold-mining Company (Limited). 5 acres, at Devil’s Creek, in the Nelson South-west Mining District.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown on or before the 9th day of October, 1886.

Native Land Court Notices.

Notice under “Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883.”

I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” give notice that on the 29th day of September, 1886, the title to the land mentioned in the Schedule herein became, within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further, that dealings with the said land will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 8th day of November, 1886.

SCHEDULE.

NAME by which land is known: Mangapapa. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Mokau. Area: 9,000 acres, by estimation.
