A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Nelson-Greymouth Railway, to take further land in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway, namely, further portion on Belgrove Section:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

All in the Provincial District of Nelson; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14031, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Land taken for a Road in Piako County, Provincial District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Piako County, Provincial District of Auckland:

And whereas the Piako County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so mentioned shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Piako County, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in East Malvern Road District, Provincial District of Canterbury: And whereas the East Malvern Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so mentioned shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in the inhabitants of the East Malvern Road District, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
