Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Otago.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the eighth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.

And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price stated in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, the Short Title whereof is “The Police Force Act, 1886,” it is, among other things, enacted that the said Act shall come into force on such day as the Governor shall appoint by Proclamation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me for that purpose, do hereby proclaim and declare that “The Police Force Act, 1886,” shall come into force on the first day of September next.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, the Short Title whereof is “The Defence Act, 1886,” it is, among other things, enacted that the said Act shall come into force on such day as shall be proclaimed by the Governor:

Additional Land taken at Frankton Junction for the Purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, from Kaukapakapa to Te Awamutu.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, from Kaukapakapa to Te Awamutu, to take further land at Frankton Junction, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.
