Aug. 19.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 979
special-value land, and as a village settlement: And whereas by Orders in Council issued on the twenty-second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, and the fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, in terms of the said Act, it was directed that the sections should be disposed of at the prices stated therein for cash and on deferred payments: And whereas it is expedient that the sections enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be withdrawn from the deferred-payment and ordinary village-settlement systems, with a view to their being offered under the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885,” for perpetual leasing:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section six of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby revoke the said Orders in Council of the twenty-second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, and the fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, so far as they relate to the sections enumerated in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said sections are hereby withdrawn from the deferred-payment and ordinary village-settlement systems, in order that they may be disposed of for perpetual leasing under the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885.”
