NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Cook County Council to make certain deviations in the line of the Gisborne-Waimata Inland Road upon the boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, Block XI., Waimata Survey District, and for that purpose to take from those sections the lands described in the accompanying Schedules.

The works to be undertaken on this land are formation for a width of 12ft. and the construction of drains and culverts for the passage of surface-water.

Any person having an objection to the taking of these lands is required to state such objection in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Council, Gisborne, on or before the 12th September, 1886.

Plans and descriptions of these lands may be seen at the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, and at Mr. Kenway’s House, Waimata.

COOK COUNTY.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Cook County Council to make a deviation of the East Coast Road where it passes through the Whangara Block, and for that purpose to take from the Whangara Block the land described in the accompanying Schedule.

The works to be undertaken on this land are formation for a width of 30ft. and drains for the passage of surface-water.

Any person having an objection to the taking of this land is required to state such objection in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council on or before the 16th day of September next.

Plans and descriptions of the land to be taken may be seen at Mr. Seymour’s house, Whangara, and at the office of the Council, Gisborne.

The works to be undertaken on this road are—formation for a width of 30 feet and embankments, drains for the passage of surface-water, and bridges across the Maungataikehu and Mangoae Rivers.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Kaikoura County Council to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in the County of Kaikoura, in the Provincial District of Marlborough, and for the purposes of such public work to take, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the Acts amending the same, the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that copies of the plans of the said road and of the lands so required to be taken are deposited at the office of the Kaikoura County Council, at Kaikoura, and are there open for inspection; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 12th day of August, 1886, to the Clerk of the Kaikoura County Council, at Kaikoura.
