Additional Land taken for Portion of an Extension of the
Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, from New Plymouth to
the Breakwater at Moturoa.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the extension of
the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway, from New Plymouth to
the Breakwater at Moturoa, to take further land on the
Moturoa section, in addition to land previously acquired for
the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

All in the Provincial District of Taranaki; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
13279, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured neutral tint and pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this sixth day of August, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
six.

tion of the Nelson-Greymouth Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Nelson-Grey-
mouth Railway, to take further land on the Greymouth to
Brunnerton Section, in addition to land previously acquired
for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
is taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 16 acres and 37 perches, more or less, situate in the
Survey District of Arnold, Provincial District of Westland,
being Crown lands, commencing at a point marked Z on
plan, distant 155 links, and bearing 63° 45' from the 1-mile
peg on the Brunner Railway. Bounded as follows: By a
line in a general south-south-easterly direction for 165 links;
by a line bearing 192° 57' for 450 links; by a line bearing
117° 30' for 588 links; by a line bearing 110° for 286 links;
by a line bearing 121° 4' for 199 links; by a line bearing 145°
34' for 254 links; by a line bearing 91° 57' for 105 links; by

a general westerly direction for 1650 links; by the south bank
of the Grey River in a general north-westerly direction for
2520 links; thence to the commencing-point by a line in a
general south-westerly direction for 60 links.
