therein for cash and on deferred payments: And whereas it
is expedient that the sections enumerated in the Schedule
hereto should be withdrawn from the ordinary village-settle-
ment system, with a view to their being offered as village
special-settlement lands for perpetual leasing:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section six of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby revoke the said Proclamation of the twenty-seventh
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four,
so far as it relates to the sections enumerated in the Schedule
hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said sections
are hereby withdrawn from the ordinary village-settlement
system, in order that they may be disposed of as village
special-settlement lands for perpetual leasing.

Revoking the Setting-apart of land in Otago for Agricul-
tural Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the fifty-fourth section of "The Mines
Act, 1877," it is, amongst other things, enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause Crown lands
situate within a goldfield to be selected and set apart for the
purpose of granting agricultural leases thereon and therefor,
or for alienation by occupation licenses on deferred payments,
under any law for the time being in force in the land dis-
trict in which such mining district is situate:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
was, by Proclamation dated the twenty-fourth day of June,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, set apart for
agricultural lease:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the said
Proclamation in so far as it relates to the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke the said Proclamation of the twenty-fourth day of
June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, in so
far as it relates to the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto.

in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
KAI-IWI BLOCK.โ€”BLOCKS XIV. AND XV., NUKUMARU
SURVEY DISTRICT.

All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
mmences at the point marked A, and proceeds generally in a
north-easterly direction to the point marked E.
All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
mmences at the point marked B, and proceeds generally in a
north-westerly direction to the point marked D; and also
that irregular-shaped piece of land abutting on the same,
and marked X.
As the above roads are more particularly shown on the
plan marked S.O. 2148/1, No. 2, and deposited in the office of
the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 5th November, 1880.

MIKIMIKI SURVEY DISTRICT.

All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
mmences at the point marked A on the eastern boundary of
Section No. 53, Block VIII., and proceeds generally in a
south-westerly direction through Sections Nos. 53, 52, and
56 to the point marked B on the northern boundary of the
last-mentioned section.
Also all that other road in Block VIII., 100 links wide, the
centre of which commences at the point marked C on the
southern boundary of Section No. 50, and proceeds generally
in a north-easterly direction through Sections Nos. 50 and 49
to the point marked D in the last-mentioned section.
Also all that road in Block VIII. the centre of which
commences at the point marked E on the southern boundary
of Section No. 48, and proceeds generally in a northerly
direction through the said section to the point marked F on
the northern boundary thereof.
As the above roads are more particularly shown on the
plan marked S.O. 1949/9, and deposited in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 22nd November, 1884.

PART OF KAPAKAPA ROAD, BLOCK V., WANGAEHU DISTRICT.

All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
mmences at the point marked A in the Te Kumeti Block, and
proceeds generally in a north-westerly direction through the
said block to the point marked B; as the same is more parti-
cularly shown on the plan marked 1465/28, and deposited in
the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 16th April, 1885.

MASTERTON-RIDEFORD EXTENSION ROAD, MANGAPAKEHA
DISTRICT.

All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
mmences at the point marked D in the Ngatahuna No. 1
Block, and proceeds generally in a north-easterly direction
through the said block to the point marked E; as the same
is more particularly shown on the plan marked S.O. 1731/43,
and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 2nd October, 1884.

SECTION NO. 36, BLOCK V., RANGITOTO SURVEY DISTRICT.

All that irregular-shaped piece of land commencing at the
point marked A in the above-mentioned section, and pro-
ceeding in a northerly direction to the point marked B; as
the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked
S.O. 1961/2, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington, and thereon tinted red.
Date of warrant, 22nd November, 1884.
