Goldfields Notices.

Gold-mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands on or before the 19th day of February, 1886.

Copy of the application made and plans annexed may be seen at the Land Office at Christchurch.

SCHEDULE.

NAME and address in full of Applicant: Robert West England, Christchurch. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: The Gloucester Gold-mining Company. Extent of land applied for: 16 acres 2 roods. Minimum number of men to be employed by the lessee: (1) For the first six months, two men; (2) subsequently, when in full work, six men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested: £10,000. Proposed mode of working the land: Quartz-mining. Precise locality: Wilberforce, Davie District. Term for which lease required: Twelve months. Time of commencing operations: 31st January, 1886.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
