"Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877."—Lands reserved for Railways and Stations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of June, 1886.
WHEREAS by the twentieth section of "The Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may, by Order in Council, from time to time reserve such portions of the lands described in the
First, Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules to the said Act which, in his opinion, are required for any of the purposes
in the said section mentioned :
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto are lands subject to be dealt with under the provisions of the
said section, and, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to reserve the same for the purposes therein named :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in exercise and pursuance of the above-recited power, and by and with
the consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, doth hereby order and direct that the lands mentioned in the
first column of the said Schedule hereto shall be reserved, and doth hereby declare and define the purposes of the said
reserve to be that specified in the second column of the said Schedule, the same being the purposes named in the twentieth
section of the said Act.

To be concurrent with the said company's coal-mining lease from the Queen, dated the 8th June, 1885, for forty-two years, from the 1st July, 1885: Provided, however, that the right is hereby reserved to the Government to construct a road, if necessary, upon any part of the area mentioned in the first column hereto that may not be actually occupied by the said railway, bridges, inclines, and staiths; and it is also provided that the Government may permit the County Council or the Road Board to construct a road similarly. |

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears, and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to
The Corporation of the Borough of Timaru,
which shall be known as the Timaru Public Park and Garden Domain Board (herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Friday in each month, at eleven o'clock a.m., at the Timaru Borough Council Office, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Friday, the sixteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days' notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
