SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the County of Southland bounded towards the North by Vincent County; towards the South-east by Tuapeka County to the dividing range between the White-coombe Creek and the Argyle Creek; thence by the summit of that range to Trig. Station K, Wart Hill Survey District; thence towards the South-west by a right line to Trig. Station H (Titan Rocks); and thence by a right line to Rocky Mount.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough, Otago, and Westland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 4,898 acres, more or less, situate in the Maungaru Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North-west by land granted to Henry and Charles Walton and Thomas Elmsley, 12880 links; towards the North-east by the same grant, 35900 links; towards the South generally by the Tauraroa and Mangonui Rivers; and towards the South-west by the Mangarata Block No. 3208 and unsurveyed Native land, 28120 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For primary education.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11 acres, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Tryphena, Provincial District of Auckland, being Section No. 174, in the Parish of Aotea; commencing at the north-east corner of Section No. 175. Bounded on the West by a line, 837 links; on the South by a line, 1678 links; thence generally on the East and North-east by lines bounding a road, 89, 98, 106, 139, 139, 38, 47, 49, 112, 763, 438, and 181 links, to the starting-point. For a school site.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 16 acres 2 roods 6 perches, more or less, situate in the Opaheke Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, being Lot No. 132 of Section No. 2, Parish of Opaheke. Bounded towards the North-east by a public road, 1040 links; thence towards the South-east by a public road, 1218 links; thence towards the South-east by Lot No. 182 of said Section No. 2, Parish of Opaheke, 505 links; thence towards the South-west by Lot No. 131 of said Section No. 2, Parish of Opaheke, 1565 links; thence generally to the North-west by a public road, 50, 589, and 160 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For recreation.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, situate in the Drury Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and called or known as Lot No. 165 of Suburban Section No. 2 of the Parish of Opaheke. Bounded towards the North by Lots Nos. 186A and 186 of said Suburban Section No. 2, 1141 links; towards the West by Lot No. 186 aforesaid, 200 links; again towards the North generally by a public road, 396 and 240 links; towards the East by Lot No. 166 of Section No. 2 aforesaid, 100 links; towards the South and again towards the East by Lot No. 187 of Section No. 2 aforesaid, 400 and 1250 links; towards the South by Lot No. 188 of the aforesaid section, 1324 links; and again towards the West by Lots Nos. 41 and 42, a public road, and Lot No. 43, all of Section No. 2 aforesaid, 1090 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; save and except a public road, 50 links in width, intersecting the north-eastern portion of the area hereinbefore described. For a quarry.
WELLINGTON.
All that piece or parcel of land being part of Block I, Makuri Survey District, Provincial District of Wellington, containing approximately 200 acres. Bounded towards the North-east by the Manawatu River; towards the South-east by Section No. 2, Crown lands, and the abuttals of two public roads, 5400 links, more or less; and towards the West and South-west by the Tiraumea River. For a State forest.
MARLBOROUGH.
All that area situate in Tennyson and Wakamarina Survey Districts, Provincial District of Marlborough, estimated to contain 21,000 acres, more or less. Bounded generally towards the West by the Rai River, from the north-west corner of Section No. 66, District of Upper Pelorus Valley, to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 77, District of Rai Valley; thence by a right line bearing north 23° east to a reserve for the growth and preservation of timber on the southern slope of the range dividing the Marlborough and Nelson Districts, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 28th July, 1881, p. 959; thence towards the North and East by the aforesaid reserve, another reserve for the growth and preservation of timber on the western slope of the dividing range between the sources of the Rai River and the streams running into Tennyson Inlet and the Pelorus Sound, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of the said reserve; thence by a right line to the north-east corner of Section No. 85, District of Pelorus Valley; thence by that section, Sections Nos. 93 and 83 in the said district, Section No. 1, Block VI., Wakamarina Survey District, a road-line, Sections Nos. 45, 44, 43, and 86, District of Upper Pelorus Valley, a road-line, and Sections Nos. 47, 54, 55, 56, 58, 60, 61, 62, 63, and 66, District of Upper Pelorus Valley, to the point of commencement: excepting thereout the freehold Sections Nos. 9, 15, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 31, 32, 34, 35, 74, and 77, District of Rai Valley; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Blenheim. For a State forest.
OTAGO.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, situate in the Township of Heriot, and being Section No. 2 of Block I. of said township. Bounded towards the North-west by Tweed Street, 166 links; towards the North by Section No. 1 of same block, 1435 links; towards the South-east by Sections Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of same block 779 links, also by a road-line 111 links; towards the South by Nith Street, 1488 links; and towards the West by Leader Street, 619 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For recreation.
WESTLAND.
All that area in the Town of Marsden, Provincial District of Westland, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 25 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 268 (in red) on the map of the said town. Bounded towards the North by Hamilton Street, 370 links; towards the East by Section No. 30, 453 links; towards the South by Card Street, 370 links; and towards the West by Section No. 24, 453 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. For police purposes.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.
