Terms and Conditions of Sale of the Mossburn Village Settlement, in the Southland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of June, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may fix the terms and conditions upon which the lands comprised in any village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same: And whereas His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand has, by Proclamation, set apart the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto for sale as a village settlement:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby fix the following terms and conditions upon which the said village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same, that is to say,—

  1. The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be disposed of as village allotments for cash.

  2. The day upon which the lands shall be open for application shall be Wednesday, the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, at the Land Office, Invercargill.

  3. The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold for cash immediately on purchase.

  4. No person shall be allowed to acquire more than one section.

  5. If there should be more than one application for any allotment, the right to purchase the same shall be determined by lot amongst the applicants.

  6. The purchaser of any lands described in the Schedule, upon the full payment of the purchase-money, will be entitled to his Crown grant, to be issued in the usual way upon payment of the fees prescribed by law.

Extension of Time for Preparation of the Grey, Patangata, and Waipawa County Rolls.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of June, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the county rolls of the Counties of Grey, Patangata, and Waipawa, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1876;” and it is expedient to further extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule respectively.

SCHEDULE.

1. For preparing the rolls for ridings within the Counties of Grey, Patangata, and Waipawa under section 42 of “The Counties Act, 1876.” 1. Until the 24th July, 1886.
2. Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection under section 46 of the said Act. 2. From the 27th July, 1886, until the 24th August, 1886.
3. Time for appeals against the said rolls under section 47 of the said Act. 3. Until the 7th September, 1886.
4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn, under section 48 of the said Act. 4. Until the 21st September, 1886.
5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force. 5. On the 1st October, 1886.

Dobson Recreation-ground brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of June, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Provincial District of Westland, and known as the Dobson Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881;” and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing 5 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 258 (in red) on the map of the Town of Dobson, Block X., Arnold Survey District. Bounded towards the North-west by Omapere Street, 1000 links; towards the North-east by Maori Street, 500 links; towards the South-east by Mawhera Street, 1000 links: and towards the South-west by Herald Street, 500 links.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of June, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the twelfth section of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred, save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons for any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be specified in such order, and that every such delegation may from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And whereas, pursuant to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land
