Land taken for a Road in Waitotara County, Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1882," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Waitotara County, Provincial District of Wellington:

And whereas the Waitotara County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so mentioned shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the County of Waitotara, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

The several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

All in the Provincial District of Wellington; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 13962, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured blue, yellow, pink, green, and burnt sienna respectively.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Extending Jurisdiction of the Resident Magistrate's Court, Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested in this behalf by "The Resident Magistrates Act, 1867," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the first day of July next, the jurisdiction of the Resident Magistrate's Court for the Auckland District, as the same is defined in a Proclamation bearing date the twentieth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, shall be extended to one hundred pounds.
