any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any
of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Nelson, and
Otago, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the
purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that area in the Suburbs of Auckland, containing by ad-
measurement 3 acres. more or less, being Allotment No. 104,
Section No. 10. Bounded towards the North generally by
Stockade Road ; towards the East by Allotment No. 101 ;
towards the South by Eden Street ; and towards the West
by Allotments Nos. 102 and 103 of said Section No. 10. For
railway purposes.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods
31 perches, more or less, and being Section No. 11 of the
Parish of Waiuku East, Maioro Survey District. Bounded
towards the North by Section No. 7, 1924 links ; towards
the East by a road-line, 720 links ; towards the South by
Section No. 12, 1432 links ; and towards the South-west by
a road-line, 757 links, to the commencing-point : be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. For a cemetery.

TARANAKI.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 3 roods
2 perches, more or less, being Section No. 78 of Block VI.,
Waimate Survey District. Bounded towards the North by
Sections Nos. 76 and 77, 1450 links ; towards the East by a
road, 949·3 links ; towards the South by Section No. 79, 1450
links ; and towards the West by Section No. 43, 949·3 links :
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For recreation.

NELSON.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 5 acres and 12 perches, be the same more or less,
situate in the Land District of Nelson, and bounded as fol-
lows : On the Northward partly by Section No. 171, Square
No. 122, 1190 links, and partly by a public road 400 links ; on
the South-eastward by Section No. 129, Square No. 122, 1830
links ; and on the Westward partly by a road reserve on the
banks of the Ahaura River 762 links, and partly by Section
No. 171, Square No. 122, 350 links. For an addition to a
cemetery.

OTAGO.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 2 roods 2 perches, more or less,
situate in the Otago Peninsula District, and being Section
No. 29 of Block VII. of said district. Bounded towards the
North-west by Section No. 23 of same block and district,
and a road-line, 242 links and 50 links ; towards the North-
east by Section No. 1 of Block III. of Tomahawk Valley
District, 330 links ; towards the South-east by a road-line,
376 links ; and towards the South-west by said section, 185
links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less ; and inter-
sected by a road-line, 100 links wide. For a school-site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this first day of June, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-six.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of
a Reserve.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may
declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the
dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in
Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named
in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the
same be granted or not ; and, in the case of any reserves
made under the authority of section one hundred and forty-
four of “The Land Act, 1877,” if it shall, in the opinion of
the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such
reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed
purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if
it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to
exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other
land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes
named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by notice in
the Gazette, declare his intention to make such change,
exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such
notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is
intended to be so made :

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare
my intention to change the specific purpose of a portion of
the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule
hereto, the area of which is described in the second column
of the said Schedule, to the specific purpose set opposite
such description in the third column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Township of Cobden, Provincial District of Nelson, containing 2 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by Fox Street, 500 links; towards the East by Newcastle Street, 400 links; towards the South by Bright Street, 500 links; and towards the West by Sturge Street, 500 links. Reserved by Order in Council issued on the 7th January, 1869, for a site for public buildings or other purposes of the General Government. All that parcel of land in the Township of Cobden, Provincial District of Nelson, containing 32 perches, more or less. Bounded on the North-eastward by Section No. 175, Fox Street, 100 links; on the South-eastward by Section No. 31, Bright Street, 200 links; on the South-westward by Bright Street, 100 links; and on the North-westward by Section No. 33, Bright Street, 200 links. For a site for a library.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixth day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-six.

the Tapanui Public Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries
Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
the several persons whose names are specified in the first
column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for
the maintenance and care of the addition to the public ceme-
tery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.
