SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situate in the Cromwell District, and being Section No. 23 of Block I. of said district. Bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 17 of same block, 1000 links; towards the North-east by same section and block, 1000 links; towards the South-east by a main road, 1000 links; towards the South-west by said Section No. 17, 1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situate in the Lower Hawea District, and being Section No. 50, Block I., of said district. Bounded towards the North by the Township of Gladstone, 1000 links; towards the East by Section No. 49 of same block, 1000 links; towards the South by said Section No. 49, 1000 links; and towards the West by a road-line, 1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, situate in the Cardrona District, being Section No. 6, Block I., on the map of the said district, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 316 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 316 links; towards the South-east by Crown lands, 316 links; and towards the South-west by Crown lands, 316 links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situate in the Township of Cromwell, and known as the Cemetery Reserve. Bounded towards the North-east by the Town Belt; towards the South-east by Litany Street; towards the South-west by Ortive Street; and towards the North-west by Achil Street.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, situate in the Town of Newcastle, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, and marked Cemetery Reserve on the map of the said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the South-east by Crown lands, 1000 links; and towards the South-west by Crown lands, 1000 links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, situate in the Town of Wakefield, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, and marked Cemetery Reserve on the map of the said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the South-east by Crown lands, 1000 links; and towards the South-west by Crown lands, 1000 links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, situate in the Town of Clyde, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, and marked Cemetery Reserve on the map of the said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Block XXXII. and Crown lands, 620 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 1613 links; towards the South-east by Crown lands, 620 links; and towards the South-west by Hull Street, 1613 links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, situate in the Town of Alexandra, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, and marked Cemetery Reserve on the map of the said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 500 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 2000 links; towards the South-east by the Town Belt, 500 links; and towards the South-west by the Town Belt, 2000 links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, situate in the Tiger Hill District, and being Section No. 20 of Block II. of said district. Bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 22 of same block and district, 400 links; towards the North-east by same section, 750 links; towards the South-east by same section, 400 links; and towards the South-west by part of the Otago Central Railway Reserve, by a road-line, also by Section No. 22 of same block and district, 750 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 7 perches, more or less, situate in the Tiger Hill District, and being Section No. 2 of Block XII. of said district. Bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 1A of same block and district, 400 links; towards the North-east by said section, 1010 links; towards the South-east by Pre-emptive Right D, Run No. 261, 400 links; and towards the South-west by a road-line and by Section No. 1A of same block and district, 1010 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Payments under “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” to bear Interest.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of June, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the forty-seventh section of “The Public Trust Office Act Amendment Act, 1873,” it is enacted that all moneys in the Public Trustee’s Account, from whatever property arising, shall, except as regards moneys as to which special provision is made for the investment thereof by the trusts affecting the particular property, be, for the purposes of investment, one common fund, and the investments thereof shall not be made on account of or belong to any particular property, unless the Governor shall otherwise direct as to any particular property; and the interest accruing from the investment of such moneys shall be divided amongst the properties from which the fund arises in such manner and at such times and in such proportions as shall be prescribed by regulations to be made for the purpose from time to time by the Governor in Council, and such regulations shall have the force of law as if included in the said Act: And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, His Excellency the Governor did make certain regulations under the aforesaid section of the said Act: And whereas under section fourteen of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” certain moneys therein referred to are directed to be paid to the credit of an account to be opened for the purpose by the Public Trustee: And whereas it is desirable that such moneys should be credited with reasonable interest whilst they remain in the account aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the power vested in him by the said in part recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that, from and after the day of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, there shall be allowed on all payments under the said fourteenth section of “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” interest after the rate and in manner hereinafter specified, viz.:

On every complete pound paid into the account opened for the purposes of the payments aforesaid, interest at the rate of four pounds per centum per annum, reckoning from the first day of the calendar month next following the day upon which a complete pound has been so paid, up to the last day of the calendar month preceding the day on which the money is withdrawn.

Interest shall only be added to such payments, so as to become part of the principal, on the thirty-first day of December in every year.

Amended Conditions of Village Special Settlements on Perpetual Lease.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of June, 1886.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-third section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time make, alter, and repeal regulations for fixing the terms and conditions upon which the lands in any special settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the Order in Council which was issued on the sixth day of May last past, and to make other regulations for the disposal of land in village special settlements on perpetual lease:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby revoke the Order in Council of the sixth day of May aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent I do hereby fix the following terms and conditions as those upon which village special-settlement blocks shall be disposed of on perpetual leasing, and the mode of payment for the same.
