Extension of Time for Preparation of all County Rolls.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of May, 1886.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the several counties rolls for all counties throughout the colony, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by "The Counties Act, 1876," and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule respectively.
SCHEDULE.
First Column.

For preparing the rolls for ridings within each county in the colony under section 42 of "The Counties Act, 1876."

Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection under section 46 of the said Act.

Time for appeals against the said rolls under section 47 of the said Act.

Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn, under section 48 of the said Act.

Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force.
Second Column.

Until the 1st June, 1886.

From the 4th June, 1886, until the 1st July, 1886.

Until the 15th July, 1886.

Until the 5th August, 1886.

On the 16th August, 1886.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland and Otago, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Waipa, Provincial District of Auckland, being Section No. 155 of the Town of Te Awamutu, and containing by admeasurement 1 rood 39 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Alexandra Road, 65 links; towards the East by Sloane Street, 105 links; towards the South-east by Sections Nos. 156 and 165, 326.3 links; towards the South-west by Walton Street, 140.7 links; and towards the North-west by Sections Nos. 166 and 154, 335.5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a post and telegraph office.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Waipa, Provincial District of Auckland, being Section No. 161 of the Town of Te Awamutu, and containing by admeasurement 1 rood 24 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Walton Street, 435.4 links; towards the South by Redoubt Street, 119.6 links; towards the South-west by Section No. 162, 332.6 links; and towards the North-west by Roache Street, 114.4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For police purposes.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Waipa, Provincial District of Auckland, being Section No. 162 of the Town of Te Awamutu, and containing by admeasurement 1 rood 19 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Section No. 161, 332.6 links; towards the South and South-west by Redoubt Street, 104 links and 223 links respectively; and towards the North-west by Roache Street, 196.3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a courthouse.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 34 perches, more or less, called or known as the Cemetery Reserve, Hastings, and being Section No. 21A, Block XI., Hastings Survey District, Thames County. Bounded towards the North by a road, 500 links; and towards the East, South, and West by Section No. 21 of the same block respectively, 586 links, 500 links, and 600 links. For a cemetery.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 578 of the Township of Cambridge East. Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 349, 350, 351, and 352 of the said township; towards the East by Bowen Street; towards the South by Thornton Road; and towards the West by Grosvenor Street. For a recreation-ground.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 30 perches, more or less, being Section No. 579 of the Township of Cambridge East. Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 353, 354, 355, 356, 357, and 358 of the said township; towards the South-east by Thornton Road; towards the South-west by Thornton Road; and towards the West by Bowen Street. For a recreation-ground.
OTAGO.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 60 acres, more or less, situate in the Kurow District, being Section No. 9, Block VI., on the map of said district. Bounded towards the North-west by Crown lands, 2300 links; towards the North-east by Crown lands, 3100 links; towards the South-east by Crown lands, 1738 links; and towards the South-west by a road-line, 2972 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a ferry reserve.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

And whereas by the two hundred and twenty-eighth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said two hundred and twenty-seventh section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazette specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
