Additional Land taken at Factory Station, on the Christchurch-Rakaia Section, for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, from the Hurunui River to the Waitaki River, passing by Amberley, Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Christchurch, Ashburton, and Timaru, with branches therefrom, to take further land at Factory Station, on the Christchurch-Rakaia Section of the said railway, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the removal of such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land.
