Alteration in Board of Wardens appointed for Cardrona Depasturing District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation made under “The Gold-fields Act, 1866,” bearing date the twenty-ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifth day of April of that year, certain regulations were made for the Cardrona Depasturing District, including, in regulation number one of the said regulations, the appointment of certain persons as a Board of Wardens for the said depasturing district:

And whereas the said regulations were amended by Proclamations bearing date the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, and the ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three:

And whereas it is expedient to further amend the said regulations:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the regulation number one referred to above shall be further amended, and that the following regulation shall be and is hereby made in lieu thereof:—

AMENDED DEPASTURING REGULATION.

  1. William Taylor, John O’Callaghan, Robert McDougall, junior, Andrew Torrie, and John Trip, all of Cardrona, or such other persons as the Governor may from time to time appoint, shall be and are hereby appointed the Board of Wardens for the above-named Cardrona Depasturing District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Altering Boundaries of Woodville Licensing District, and defining Danevirk Licensing District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the Woodville Licensing District, which shall henceforth be those described in the First Schedule hereto, and do also hereby proclaim and define the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second Schedule hereto to be an ordinary licensing district for the purposes of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

WOODVILLE.

BOUNDED towards the North-east and South-east by the Norsewood and Porangahau Licensing Districts; towards the South by the County of Wairarapa East; and towards the North-west by the County of Oroua: exclusive of the Town Districts of Woodville and Danevirk.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DANEVIRK.

COMPRISFS all that area known as the Town District of Danevirk, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 53, 17th September, 1885.
