the matter of the New Zealand Grain Agency and Mercantile Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 1st
day of May, 1886, to send their names and addresses, and
the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and
addresses of their solicitors (if any), to me, the undersigned
WILLIAM WEDDEL, one of the voluntary Liquidators of the
said company; and, if so required by notice in writing from
me, the said voluntary Liquidator, are by their solicitors to
come in and prove their said debts or claims, at such time
and place as shall be specified in such notice; or in default
thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the
various Amendments thereof.
NOTICE of intention to take lands for widening a road
situate in the St. Bathans Riding of the County of
Maniototo, and also in the Survey District of Blackstone, in
the Provincial District of Otago:
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the several
amendments thereof, to execute a certain public work, to
wit, the widening of a road in the above riding and district
respectively, and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken. And notice is further given that a plan, showing the
proposed widening, as well as the lands intended to be taken
therefor, is deposited and open for inspection at the County
Office of the County of Maniototo, situate at the corner of
Earn and Leven Streets, in the Borough of Naseby. And
notice is also given that all persons affected by the execution
of the said public work, or the taking of the said lands, are
hereby required, if they have any well-grounded objection
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said lands, to set forth such objection in writing, and to
send such notice within forty days from the 26th day of
March, 1886, to the Maniototo County Council, at the said
offices, Earn Street, Naseby.
THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.
All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 1
acre 2 roods 28 poles, more or less, situate in the St.
Bathans Riding of the County of Maniototo, and being part
of Section 20, Block II., on the map of the Blackstone
Survey District. Bounded on the North by other part of the
said Section 20; on the South by a road-line; on the East
by a road-line; and on the West by a road-line: as the same
is approximately delineated in the said plan so deposited as
aforesaid at the County Offices aforesaid.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
