Subdividing Longbeach Road District, County of Ashburton.

THE following special order, made by the Longbeach Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

I certify that on the 12th day of March, 1886, the following special order was passed unanimously by the Longbeach Road Board, in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and all Acts amending the same.

Resolved, That the Longbeach Road Board do make a special order dividing the Longbeach Road District into five subdivisions, with one member for each subdivision; and that such special order be as follows:—

SPECIAL ORDER.

In compliance with the petition of two-thirds of the ratepayers for the Longbeach Road District, and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Board by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and all other Acts amending the same, the Board of the Longbeach Road District doth hereby order and declare that the Longbeach Road District shall consist of five subdivisions, with one member for each subdivision.

Description.

Subdivision No. 1: Bounded towards the North-east by the north-eastern boundary of the district; towards the North-west by the Tinwald Town District; towards the South-east by the sea; and towards the South-west generally by the centre of the road running through Section No. 4354, and between Sections Nos. 17194 and 16837, 17177 and 17178, 23701 and 18894, from the Tinwald Town District to the sea.

Subdivision No. 2: Bounded toward the North-east by Subdivision No. 1; towards the North-west by the Tinwald Town District; towards the South-east by the sea; and towards the South-west generally by the centre of the road separating Sections Nos. 17074 and 17075, 16841 and 25202, 22120 and 22121, from the Tinwald Town District to the south-west corner of Reserve No. 1443; thence by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 20430 and 24949 to the sea.

Subdivision No. 3: Bounded towards the North-east by Subdivision No. 2; towards the North-west by the Tinwald Town District and the north-west boundary of the district; towards the South-east by the sea; and towards the West generally by the centre of the road separating Sections Nos. 22059 and 23333, 14461 and 21694, from the north-west boundary to the north-west corner of Section No. 6727; thence by the south-west boundary of Section No. 6727 to the sea.

Subdivision No. 4: Bounded towards the East by Subdivision No. 3; towards the North-west and South-west by the north-west and south-west boundaries of the district; and towards the South-east by the centre of the road forming the south-east boundary of Sections Nos. 16765 and 16232.

Subdivision No. 5: Bounded towards the North-east by Subdivision No. 3; towards the North-west by Subdivision No. 4; towards the South-east by the sea; and towards the South-west by the south-west boundary of the district.

Office at which Electoral Rolls may be inspected.

Time and Place for First Meeting of Contributors to Otago Benevolent Institution.

HIS Excellency the Governor has, in terms of section 49 of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” appointed Tuesday, the 30th day of March instant, at 8 o’clock p.m., to be the time, and the Hall of the Chamber of Commerce, Dunedin, to be the place, for the first meeting of the contributors to the Otago Benevolent Institution.

Making Additional Regulations for the Examination of Masters and Mates.

IN pursuance of the power vested in me by sections 24 and 25 of “The Shipping and Seamen’s Act, 1877,” I do hereby make the following additional regulations for the examination of masters and mates, the same being similar to additional regulations issued by the Board of Trade; and do hereby order that they shall come into force on the 1st day of April next.
