THE following special order made by the Council of the County of Mongonui is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

“That the Council do now make a special order, declaring the Victoria Valley District a Road Board district, in accordance with the petition of the ratepayers.”

I hereby certify that the above minute is a true and correct copy of the special order passed by the Mongonui County Council at the meeting held on the 24th day of February, 1886, and that this special order was made strictly in accordance with law.

COMMENCING at the southernmost angle of Section No. 23 of the Parish of Kaiaka. Bounded towards the North by the sea from the mouth of the Mangatete Stream to Mongonui Harbour; towards the East generally by Mongonui Harbour and the Oruaiti River, by Sections Nos. 15, 16, 17, 72, 78, 39, and 40 of the Parish of Mongonui, by the Parangiora Block, by Sections Nos. 53, 85, 52, 51, 50, 49, 59, 60, 61, 62, and 63 of the said parish, by Sections Nos. 99, 98, 97, 96, 95, 87, 88, and 89 of the Parish of Kohumaru, and by the Wainui Stream; towards the South generally by the Wainui Stream and the southern boundaries of the Parishes of Maungataniwha East and Maungataniwha to the easternmost corner of Section No. 124 of the last-named parish; and towards the South-west generally by Sections Nos. 124, 121, 120, 117, 128, 129, 23, 24, and 25, by the western boundary of Section No. 26 and the stream which forms the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 51, 52, 96, and 56, all of the Parish of Maungataniwha aforesaid, by the southern and western boundaries of the Taheke Native Reserve, by the stream which forms the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 73 and 74 of the Parish of Kaiaka, and by the western boundary of the last-named lot to its north-western angle, by a right line thence to the southernmost angle of Section No. 23 of the Parish of Kaiaka, by the south-western boundaries of that section and of Sections Nos. 26 and 28, all of the Parish of Kaiaka, and the south-western boundary of the Parish of Kaiaka to the Mangatete Stream, and by the Mangatete Stream to the point of commencement.
