Fixing Shooting Season for Imported Game, License Fee,
etc., Lake District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals
Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same,
I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that Californian
quail may be taken or killed within the Lake District, con-
sisting of the County of Lake, from the first day of June,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-
first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
six, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in
the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that
licenses to take or kill such game within the said district
shall be issued on payment of the sum of ten shillings each,
and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on pay-
ment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmaster
at Queenstown is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.
And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis)
may be taken or killed within the said district from the first
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to
the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six, both inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-six.

Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

GEORGE SKINNER LINTOTT and
GEORGE JONES, Senior,

to be Trustees for the maintenance and care of the Oamaru
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed
by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor
on the sixteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-three.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twentieth day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-six.
