Incorporation of North Wairarapa Benevolent Society as a Separate Institution.

HIS Excellency the Governor in Council directs it to be notified, in terms of section 43 of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” that he has received a petition from 54 subscribers to the North Wairarapa Benevolent Society, to which is annexed a verified list, signed by 135 persons, in terms of section 38 of the said Act, praying that the North Wairarapa Benevolent Society may be incorporated as a separate institution; and that, if no counter-petition, signed by an equal or greater number of such persons, shall have been delivered at the office of the Colonial Secretary within one month after the publication of this notice, or if the United Board shall not have lodged with the Colonial Secretary within the same time an objection to such petition, the Governor in Council will declare the said society to be a separate institution under the said Act.

SPECIAL ORDER.

A SPECIAL Order passed at a meeting of the Clifton County Council held at Urenui, on the 10th March, 1886:

That the Mokau Riding be divided into two Ridings, to be called the Urenui Riding and the Mokau Riding, as under; the Urenui Riding to return three members to the Clifton County Council, and the Mokau Riding to return one member to the Clifton County Council; the said order to take effect from the 15th April, 1886.

I certify that all the forms of law in respect of the above Special Order have been duly complied with.

MOKAU RIDING.

All that part of the Clifton County commencing at the mouth of the Mimi River, bounded on the North-west by the ocean; on the North and East by the present boundary of the Clifton County; on the South by the Urenui Riding to the ocean.

URENUI RIDING.

All that part of the Mokau Riding bounded on the North-west from the Onaero River by the ocean to the Mimi River; thence by the Mimi River to Section No. 51, Pukearuhe District; thence by the northern boundaries of Upper Waitara and Puaho and Eao Survey Districts to the Wanganui River; thence by the Wanganui to the southern boundary of the Clifton County; thence by the said southern boundary to the Makino River; thence by the Makino and Waitara Rivers to the Tikorangi Riding; thence by the Tikorangi Riding to the ocean.

NOTICE is hereby given that FRED WALSH, Manager of Edward Waters’s International Patent and Trade Mark Office, Sydney, has applied on behalf of the Wells and Richardson Company, a duly-incorporated company of the State of Vermont, United States of America, trading at Burlington, Vermont, aforesaid, as Manufacturing Pharmacists and Wholesale Druggists, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz. :—

Description of Trade Mark.

A label, wrapper, or show-card, the most prominent feature of which is two interlaced circular vignettes. The left-hand vignette represents a field in which are two cows in or near a brook, and that in the right shows a farmhouse in a cornfield, with a standing and a lying bound sheaf in the foreground. The words or name “Wells, Richardson, and Co.’s” are printed above the vignettes, and the words “Lactated Food” below the same, both within curved lines; and the whole is more or less ornamented by scrolls and borders.

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.

A substance or preparation from cereals for infants’ or invalids’ food, and known as “Lactated Food.”
