Fixing Shooting Season for Imported Game, License Fee, &c., Clifton-Rangitoto District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants, Californian quail, and hares may be taken or killed within the Clifton-Rangitoto District, consisting of the Clifton and Rangitoto Ridings of the Rangitikei County, from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmaster at Bull’s is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Wellington, and the Postmasters at Masterton and Featherston, are hereby appointed to issue the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that hares may be taken or killed within the North Canterbury District, consisting of the Counties of Cheviot, Ashley, Akaroa, Selwyn, and Ashburton, from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned), and that licenses to kill hares within such district shall be issued, on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, by the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch. And I do further notify that cock-pheasants and Californian quail may be taken or killed within the said district, from the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Act mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill cock-pheasants and quail within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive.
