SIR,—In accordance with clause 145 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” I beg to give you notice that, by a poll of the ratepayers, taken on the 17th day of February, 1886, a special loan was authorized for the Southbridge Town Board to borrow a sum of £400 for the purpose of purchasing the Southbridge Town Hall. The number of votes recorded was as follows :—

THE following special order, made by the Council of the County of Waipa, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT all persons riding or driving over any bridge under the control of the Council shall do so only at a walking pace. Any person infringing this by-law shall be deemed guilty of an offence, and shall, upon conviction, forfeit and pay a sum not exceeding £1 for each offence, to be recovered in the manner provided by section 208 of “The Counties Act, 1876.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing by-law has been duly made by the Waipa County Council in accordance with law.
