A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one hundred and sixty-first
section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis
Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that the sections of land enu-
merated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease,
with perpetual right of renewal, in allotments of the areas
stated in the said Schedule.

Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this eighth day of March, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
six.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki
Railway, branch from Racecourse to Southbridge, with a
sub-branch to Little River and thence to Akaroa, to take
further land on Ellesmere contract, in addition to the land
previously acquired for the purposes above mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is
taken for the purposes above mentioned.
