NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Cromwell of the Dunstan Mining
District, and all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-
race and divert water for irrigation and general pur-
poses, commencing at a point in the Lowburn Creek about
300 yards above my freehold, and terminating at the
Clutha River. The length of such race is half a mile or
thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west. The
mean depth of such race is 1 foot and the mean breadth
2 feet, and it is proposed to divert three Government-heads
of water. The race is already constructed. The time for
which the race is required is fifteen years.
Dated at Cromwell, this 5th day of February, 1886.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately sub-
sisting between us, HENRY HARRIS HILL, FRANCIS
JAMES HARTBRIDGE, FREDERICK MASON, and ROBERT
STRUTHERS, the undersigned, carrying on business as Iron
Merchants at Christchurch, in New Zealand, and elsewhere
in New Zealand and the Australian Colonies and Tasmania,
has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th day
of September, 1885. The said Henry Harris Hill, Francis
James Hartbridge, and Robert Struthers will continue the
said business, under the present style of "Mason, Struthers,
and Company," and take over the New Zealand business ;
the said Frederick Mason retires from the firm, and takes
over the Australian and Tasmanian business.
