THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby of the Mining District of Mount Ida, and all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for domestic purposes and the driving of machinery.
The point of commencement of such race is in the Wedderburn, at the back of Champion’s old stationhouse; and the point of termination is at the back of Mr. Geoffrey’s 50-acre freehold section, into the Wedderburn.
The course of such race is about north-east and south-west; the length of such race will be two miles or thereabouts, its mean breadth about 2 feet, and its mean depth about 8 inches.
I intend to divert two Government-heads of water. The race will pass through Crown lands, and an area of about 2 feet on each side of such race and immediately adjoining thereto throughout the whole length thereof will be required for the purpose of depositing matter removed from such race.

TAKE notice that his Honor Mr. Justice Richmond has appointed Tuesday, the 17th day of February, 1885, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, or the first day thereafter in which the Judge shall sit in Chambers, at his chambers in the Supreme Courthouse in Wellington, as the time and place to settle the list of contributories of the above-named company.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that a deviation of the line of road passing through Sections 81 and 82, Patutahi, has been made by the Cook County Council, and it is now necessary to take the land from Section 82 for a public road as described in accompanying Schedule. All persons having any objection to the work are required to state such objection in writing, and send it to the office of the Cook County Council on or before the 1st day of February, 1885.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 32·6 perches, more or less, situated in the Patutahi Survey District, in the Cook County, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing part of the eastern portion of Section No. 82, Block III.; commencing on the southern side of the road which traverses Section No. 82 at a point 2013 links or thereabouts distant from its north-western boundary-line. Bounded towards the North-east generally by lines, 296·8 links and 774·4 links respectively; towards the South-east by a line, 127·5 links; and towards the South-west by a line, 1133·4 links, to the commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3631, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.
A copy of the plan may be seen at the office of the Patutahi Road Board, and at the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne.

TAKING LAND FOR A CEMETERY.

NOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” and “The Public Works Act, 1882,” the Waitemata County Council propose to take the land mentioned in the Schedule hereunder for the purpose of a cemetery. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the publication of this notice to the Chairman of the Waitemata County Council, at Palmerston Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland. And notice is hereby given that the plan of the said land required to be taken is open for inspection at the Post Office, Devonport, in the Road District of Devonport.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
