✨ Vesting Reserves
Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the colony, doth make the regulation hereto
annexed approving of class-books for public schools; and,
with the like advice and consent, doth prescribe that this
order shall take effect from the date hereof.
REGULATION.
The books entitled “Physiography,” by T. H. Huxley, F.R.S.
(Macmillan and Co., London), “Geography adapted to
Standards II., III., and IV.,” by Henry Hill, B.A. (Whit-
combe and Tombs, Christchurch), and “Stories from English
History: Historical Reader No. 1,” and “Modern England:
Historical Reader No. 4” (George Gill and Sons, London),
may be used in any public school as if they had been
described and included in the list of works set forth in the
Order in Council dated the 24th day of September, 1878.

Vesting a Reserve in the Wyndham Town Board.

At Christchurch, this seventeenth day of January, 1885.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for a site for Town Board offices: And
whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to
vest the said land in the Wyndham Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by section four of
“The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the Wyndham Town Board, in trust,
for a site for Town Board offices.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 24 perches, more or less,
situate in the Town of Wyndham, being Section No. 1,
Block XIII., on the map of the said town. Bounded towards
the North-west by Ferry Street, 201.5 links; towards the
North-east by Section No. 2 of same block, 150.6 links; and
towards the South-west by Malta Street, 251.5 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.

the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said
land in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the
Wairarapa West County:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
“The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and in-
habitants of the Wairarapa West County, in trust, for ferry
purposes.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wel-
lington, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 31
perches, more or less, being a ferry reserve on the Waiohine
River, on the plan of Block XIV., Tiffin Survey District.
Bounded towards the North-east and South-east by a Native
reserve, 1140 links and 296 links respectively; towards the
South-west by the Waiohine River, 1050 links; and towards
the West by a public road, 305 links.

said land in the Opunake Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
“The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the Opunake Town Board, in trust,
for a site for a pound.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or
less, being part of the Suburban Section No. 8, Block IX.,
Opunake Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east
by the South Road, 200 links; towards the South-east by
Section No. 7, 500 links; towards the South-west by part of
Section No. 8, 200 links; and towards the North-west by part
of Section No. 8, 500 links; be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient
to vest the said land in the Road Board of the Suburban
North (Nelson) District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
“The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the Road Board of the Suburban
North (Nelson) District, in trust, for a gravel-pit and a site
for a pound.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Suburban North District,
Provincial District of Nelson, containing 5 acres, more or
less. Bounded on the North by a public road; on the East
by part of Rural Section No. 3; on the South by waste
lands of the Crown; and on the West by Section No. 57.
