Setting apart Land in the Southland Land District for
leasing under "The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act,
1882."

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the fiftieth section of "The Land
Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882," and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enume-
rated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions
of sections three to forty-eight of "The Land Act 1877
Amendment Act, 1882."

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section three of "The Licensing
Act Amendment Act, 1882," I, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
Licensing Districts of Wanganui Cook, St. John's, and
Queen's shall be amalgamated under the name of the Wa-
ganui Licensing District, as from the second day of Feb-
ruary, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five; and
that, as from the said date, the said Licensing Districts of
Wanganui Cook, St. John's, and Queen's shall be abolished.

Licensing Districts of Mornington First, Mornington Second,
and Mornington Third shall be amalgamated under the name
of the Mornington Licensing District, as from the second day
of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five;
and that, as from the said date, the said Licensing Districts
of Mornington First, Mornington Second, and Mornington
Third shall be abolished.

Land taken for a Road in Waihemo County, Provincial
District of Otago.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1882," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a
road in Waihemo County, Provincial District of Otago:
And whereas the Waihemo County Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
And whereas the lands described in the first and second
paragraphs of the Schedule hereto were alleged to be, or to
comprise or include, a plantation or plantations: And
whereas, in pursuance of section four of "The Public Works
Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1884," the Governor in Council
has consented to the taking of such lands, notwithstanding
that they were alleged to include or comprise a plantation
or plantations as aforesaid:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
section eleven of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the day of the
date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely
vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all
mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind
soever, for use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 3 roods 39·2 perches, more or less, being portion of
Sections Nos. 39 and 44, Block IV.; commencing at a point
distant from the south-east corner of Section No. 39 1116·3
links, on a bearing of 1° 30'. Bounded—Easterly by a line,
976 links, on a bearing of 176° 47'; Northerly by the Shag
River, 101 links; Westerly by a line, 1004 links, on a bear-
ing of 176° 47'; Southerly by a road-line, 102 links, on a
bearing of 75° 32', to commencing point.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 1 rood 2·6 perches, more or less, being portion of Sec-
tion No. 1; Block XV.; commencing at a point on the
southern boundary of Section No. 1 distant from the south-
east corner of said section 2660 links, along bends of Shag
River. Bounded—Easterly by a line, 240 links, on a bearing
of. 176° 47'; Northerly by a road-line, 116·6 links, on a bear-
ing of 297° 46'; Westerly by a line, 292 links, on a bearing
of 176° 47'; Southerly by the Shag River, 101 links, to com-
commencing point.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 1 acre and 18·9 perches, more or less, being portion
of Section No. 39, Block IV.; commencing at a point in the
southern boundary of Section No. 39 distant from the south-
east corner of said section 461·7 links, on a bearing of 90°.
Bounded—Easterly by lines, 285 links, on a bearing of 216°
45', and 850·8 links, on a bearing of 22° 30'; Northerly by a
road-line, 125·2 links, on a bearing of 75° 32'; Westerly by
lines, 762·9 links, on a bearing of 22° 30', and 293·6 links, on
a bearing of 216° 45', and 44·1 links, on a bearing of 12° 58';
Southerly by a road-line, 102·6 links, on a bearing of 90°, to
commencing point.
The above parcels of land being situate in the Dunback
Survey District, Provincial District of Otago; and more
