DEVONPORT AND LAKE TAKAPUNA TRAMWAYS.

NOTICE of the intention of the Devonport and Lake
Takapuna Tramway Company (Limited) to apply for
an order authorizing them to construct a tramway in the
Devonport Road District and elsewhere within the County of
Waitemata, along the route mentioned in the following ad-
vertisement:—
Notice is hereby given that, at the expiration of thirty days
from the publication of this advertisement, application is
intended to be made to His Excellency the Governor in
Council for an order empowering the Devonport and Lake
Takapuna Tramway Company (Limited) to construct and
use a tramway within the Devonport Road District and else-
where, within the County of Waitemata, along and over the
following route, namely:—
Section No. 1: From the end of the Victoria Wharf, Devon-
port, hereinafter called “the starting point,” along Beach
Road and Cheltenham Road, to the end of Cheltenham Road
at its junction with Cheltenham Beach.
Section No. 2: From the starting point at Victoria Wharf,
along Victoria Road, to its junction with Lake Road; thence
along Lake Road to the cross-roads opposite the Schoolhouse
at Lake Takapuna on the one side of the lake, and to the
road leading to the sea-beach alongside Mr. Murdock’s pro-
perty on the other side of the lake.
Section No. 3: From the junction of Lake Road and
Victoria Road, along Victoria Road, Albert Street, and Vaux-
hall Road, to a point marked on the plan at the commence-
ment of Narrow Neck.
Section No. 4: From the junction of Victoria Road and
Edward Street, along Edward Street and Calliope Road, to a
point shown on the plan near Brick Bay.
Section No. 5, Connecting Line: From the junction of
Cheltenham Road and Lake Street, along Lake Street, to its
junction with Vauxhall Road; or
Alternative Connecting Line: From the junction of Chel-
tenham Road with Cheltenham Beach, along Cheltenham
Terrace, and an extension thereof across land belonging to
private owners, to Lake Street; along Lake Street to its
junction with Vauxhall Road. With power to make necessary
and convenient junctions, sidings, passing-places, and cross-
ings for the purposes of such tramways.
And notice is hereby given that the said tramway is in-
tended to be used both for goods and passenger traffic, and
that a copy of this advertisement and a proper plan of the
proposed works and all other documents required to be de-
posited under the provisions of “The Tramways Act, 1872,”
will, on or before the 28th day of November, 1885, be de-
posited for public inspection in the office, in the City of
Auckland, of the Registrar of the Supreme Court; and also
in the office of the Devonport Road Board, at Devonport;
and also in the office of the Waitemata County Council, at
Palmerston Buildings, Queen Street, in the City of Auckland;
and also in the office of His Excellency the Governor, in the
City of Wellington: and that printed copies of the draft
order when deposited pursuant to subsection 3 of the Third
Schedule to “The Tramways Act, 1872,” and of the order
when made, can be obtained at the office of Mr. E. W. Alison,
Land Agent, Beach Road, Devonport.

I, PERCY F. MONEY, late of London, Member of the Royal
College of Surgeons of England, Licentiate of the
Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and Licentiate in
Midwifery of the same college, hereby give notice that I
have deposited with the Registrar of the Nelson District the
necessary proofs of my having obtained the above degrees in
surgery, midwifery, and medicine, and intend to apply to be
registered under the New Zealand Medical Act one month
from the date hereof.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
