*Setting apart Land in the Taranaki Land District for
Perpetual Leasing under "The Land Act, 1885."

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth
section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enume-
rated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease,
with right of renewal under the provisions of Part IV. of
"The Land Act, 1885."

Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same ; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this seventeenth day of November, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-five.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony of New Zealand, at the request of the School Com-
missioners of the Hawke's Bay Provincial District, on the
first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
four, it was declared that Block forty-three, Tautane District,
comprising nine thousand seven hundred acres, being portion
of the educational reserves described in the Schedule hereto,
should be sold subject to the provisions of "The Land Act,
1877:" And whereas it is desirable that the aforesaid educa-
tional reserve, together with portion of the adjoining Crown
lands, should be leased under the provisions of "The Land
Act, 1885:"

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by virtue and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the one hundred
and thirty-fifth and two hundred and thirty-seventh sections
of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power and
authority enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enume-
rated in the Schedule hereto shall be disposed of subject to
the provisions of Part IV. of "The Land Act, 1885," afore-
said.

visions of Part IV. of "The Land Act, 1885."
