Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Land
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in warrants of the date given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 33 acres 3 roods 6
perches and 4 perches respectively, more or less, situated in
the Tatua Survey District, and being roads, 100 links wide,
and varying in width, traversing the Oruanui Block, No.
994 :—
Portion containing 33 acres 3 roods 6 perches : Commenc-
ing at a point on the Wairakei Stream, at a distance of 550
links or thereabouts from the north-eastern termination of
the line which forms part of the north-western boundary of
the Wairakei Block, being the middle of the road above
referred to ; and thence continuing north-easterly generally
for a distance of 33791 links or thereabouts to the northern
boundary of the aforesaid block, to a point on the same
lying to the eastward of its northernmost angle at a distance
of 4100 links or thereabouts.
Portion containing 4 perches: Commencing at a point on
the northern boundary of the aforesaid block at a distance
of 675 links or thereabouts from the northern termination of
the road hereinbefore described; and thence continuing
along that boundary for a distance of 205 links or there-
abouts: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Plan No. 3630, deposited in the Survey
Office at Auckland.
Date of Governor’s warrant, 22nd May, 1883.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 39 acres and 28
perches, 1 acre and 3 perches, and 2 acres respectively, more
or less, situated in the Tatua Survey District, and being
road-lines, 100 links wide and varying in width, traversing
the Wairakei Block, No. 5167.
Road containing 39 acres and 28 perches: Commencing at
a point on the Waipuwerawera Stream at a distance of 600
links or thereabouts from its confluence with the Waikato
River, being the middle of the road above referred to ; and
thence continuing northerly generally for a distance of 39178
links or thereabouts to the Wairakei Stream, at a distance
of 550 links or thereabouts from the north-eastern termina-
tion of the line which forms part of the north-western
boundary of the aforesaid block.
Road containing 1 acre and 3 perches: Commencing at a
point on the road hereinbefore described at a distance of
5343 links or thereabouts from the Waipuwerawera Stream,
being the middle of the road above referred to ; and thence
continuing north-easterly and easterly generally for a dis-
tance of 1024 links or thereabouts to the middle of the Huka
Race in the Waikato River.
Road containing 2 acres: Commencing at a point on the
road first hereinbefore described at a distance of 7943 links
or thereabouts from the Wairakei Stream aforesaid, being
the middle of the road above referred to ; and thence con-
tinuing southerly along the bank of the Waikato River for a
distance of 2153 links or thereabouts: be all the aforesaid
likages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No.
3630, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.
Date of Governor’s warrant, 22nd May, 1883.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 6 perches,
more or less, situate in the Tauhara Survey District, an
being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Patuiw
Reserve No. 4215; commencing at a point on the eastern
boundary of the reserve aforesaid, 1651 links or thereabouts
from the Otumuheke Stream, being the middle of the road
above referred to ; and thence continuing south-westerly
generally for a distance of 1792 links or thereabouts to the
Otumuheke Stream aforesaid, at a point on the same 600
links or thereabouts distant from its confluence with the
Waikato River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3630, deposited in the
Survey Office at Auckland.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Welling-
ton, this third day of November, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
five.
