I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Little Helen Gold-Mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1872.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Little Helen Gold-Mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of operations is at Karaka, Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at the New Zealand Insurance Company’s Buildings, Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland and Colony of New Zealand.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is thirteen thousand pounds sterling, in twenty-six thousand shares of ten shillings sterling each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-six thousand, being more than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Roderick McDonald Scott.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between CHARLES JAMES HOLROYDE, of the City of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, Engineer, GEORGE ERNEST HOLROYDE, of the same place, Engineer, and HERBERT HENRY BARNETT, late of the same place, but now of parts beyond the seas, Engineer, all trading and known at Auckland aforesaid as “Holroyde and Co.,” Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, &c., is hereby dissolved, such dissolution to take effect from the 24th day of March, 1885.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and in the matter of the voluntary winding-up of the MANAWATU BUTTER, CHEESE, and BACON MANUFACTURING COMPANY (LIMITED).

I HEREBY summon a General Meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company, to be held in Mr. Linton’s auction-rooms, in Palmerston North, on the 23rd day of November, 1885, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of submitting my report, together with an account showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the property thereof disposed of.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council is about to undertake a certain public work, viz.: The construction of a portion of the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, and for that purpose it is necessary to take a portion of Waihau No. 1 Block, Hangaroa Survey District Blocks XIV. and XV., as defined in the following schedule.

The works proposed to be undertaken, are forming a road for a width of 12ft. on the solid, bridges across streams, culverts, and drains for the passage of surface water, and all necessary embankments, cuttings, or other works for the safety and convenience of the public.

Maps showing the lands affected by these works are deposited, and may be inspected at the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, and at Mr. McMurray’s accommodation house, Waihau.

Any person affected by the execution of the proposed works is required to set forth in writing any objection he may have to the works, or the taking of the land, and send such writing to the office of the Cook County Council, at Gisborne, on or before the 7th day of December, 1885.

XIV. and XV., Waihau No. 1, situated in the Survey District of Hangaroa; all in the Provincial District of Auckland, as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan or plans marked P.W.D., deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red. 571

I, JAMES FREDERICK CAROLAN, Member Royal College Surgeons, England, 1872, now residing at Waipu, having deposited evidence of my qualification with the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, at Auckland, hereby give notice that I shall apply to him to be registered under “The New Zealand Medical Practitioners Act, 1869,” on the 13th day of November, 1885.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.
