I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” give notice that on the 2nd day of October, 1885, the title to the land mentioned in the Schedule herein became, within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further, that dealings with the said land will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 11th day of November, 1885.

I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” give notice that on the 6th day of October, 1885, the title to the land mentioned in the Schedule herein became, within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further, that dealings with the said land will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 15th day of November, 1885.

Application for Rehearing of Claim granted.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF GISBORNE.

IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a session opened at Hastings, on the 1st day of December, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim for the investigation of title to land situate in the District of Auckland, and known as “Pohokura;” and in the matter of several applications for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim, made to this Court in writing within three months after such decision, by Natives thinking themselves aggrieved thereby:

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be had on Wednesday, the 4th day of November next, at a sitting of the Court to be then held at Tarawera, on the road to Taupo, in the said district.

Land Transfer Act Notices.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1870,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 21st day of November next.

  1. EDWARD CIRCUIT LATTER (Official Assignee in JOHN ALFRED LANGFORD’S Estate).—40 acres and 24 perches, Section 28, Square 18, Maitai District; Sections 29, 44, and 49, Square 46, Howard Suburban; Sections 14 and 20, Howard Village; and Section 93, Square 159, Karamea District. Unoccupied.

  2. HERBERT EVELYN CURTIS.—16 perches, part of Section 485, City of Nelson, fronting 62 links on Collingwood Street, extending back to private road, and situate 398 links from Nile Street East, together with right-of-way. Occupied by William Avery.

NOTICE is hereby given that all that piece of land containing by admeasurement 1,400 acres, more or less, comprising Sections Nos. 102, 103, 109, 111, and 112, Patutahi Survey District, and being the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. x., folio 285, to RICHARD WHITE, is offered for sale; and, further, that unless within one calendar month from the date of the Gazette containing this notice a sufficient amount shall have been realized by the sale of the said land to satisfy the principal money and interest due on Memorandum of Mortgage No. 1223, from the said RICHARD WHITE to EDWARD PULFORD and EDWARD WILLIAM KNOWLES, and incidental expenses, an order will be issued by me foreclosing the right of the mortgagor to redeem the said land.
