SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Wellington, containing 1,000 acres, be the same a little more or less, being the block of land called "Reserve in the Manawatu, Wairarapa No. 1, or Eketahuna Block, Wairarapa District," and being the whole of the land comprised in Crown-grant, Register-book, Vol. xxvi., folio 48.

Steam Service to West Coast Ports and Karamea.
General Post Office,
Wellington, 6th October, 1885.
SEALED Tenders will be received at the General Post Office, Wellington, until noon of Monday, the 30th of November, for the performance of the following steam-services:—
(1.) Between Hokitika, Okarito, Bruce Bay, Paringa, Haast River, Okuru, and Jackson's Bay, once every two months:
(2.) Between Westport and Karamea, or between Nelson or Westport and Karamea alternatively, once every four weeks.

The services to be for a period of twelve months, with the right of renewal or termination, on two months' notice being given by either side, at the end of the contract term.

The services to be performed in accordance with time-tables to be furnished by the Postmaster-General, and to commence about the third week of February next, on a date hereafter to be fixed by the Postmaster-General.

Tenderers to state the names, tonnage, and horse-power of the vessels to be employed in the services.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Tenders to be addressed to the Hon. the Postmaster-General, and indorsed "Tender for West Coast Ports Steam Service," or "Tender for Karamea Steam Service," as the case may be.

Time and Place for Payment of Property-tax.
Property-tax Department,
Wellington, 8th October, 1885.
NOTICE is hereby given that property-tax under "The Property-tax Act, 1885," for the year commencing on the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, will be payable as follows:—
(1.) In respect of the duty of seven-eighths of a penny, where the amount of such duty shall be under fifteen pounds, the same shall be paid on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five:
And where such duty amounts to fifteen pounds, or exceeds that sum, the same shall be paid in two equal instalments, the first of such instalments being payable on the said twenty-sixth day of November, and the second of such instalments on the tenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six:
(2.) In respect of the duty on fire, marine, accident, fidelity, live stock, plate-glass, or guarantee policies issued by any insurance company, the same shall be paid on the tenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

And notice is hereby further given that the places where the said tax shall be paid shall be any post office which is also a money-order office, and at the office of the Property-tax Commissioner, at the Government Buildings, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of "The Friendly Societies Act, 1882," by writing under his hand dated this 7th day of October, 1885, cancelled the registry of the Helpmeet Tent, Register No. 110 (24), held at Dunedin, branch of the New Zealand Central District, Independent Order of Rechabites, Salford Unity, on the ground that the said Tent has ceased to exist.
