New Zealand, do hereby vest all that parcel of land containing one acre three roods eight perches, more or less, being part of Reserve number four hundred and thirty-six (in red), Town of Hokitika—bounded towards the North-west by Sewell Street, three hundred and ninety-six links; towards the North-east by Weld Street, four hundred and ninety-four and one-half links; towards the South-east by Fitzherbert Street, three hundred and twenty-five links; and towards the South-west by other part of said reserve, one hundred and eighty-five links, twenty-one and one-half links, forty-four links, forty-nine and one-half links, and two hundred and sixty-five and one-half links: together with the buildings erected thereon, and known as the Government House—in the Hokitika High School Board, as a site for a high school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Canterbury.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby change the purpose, from a site for a gravel-pit to a site for a public school, of all that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being Reserve number one thousand three hundred and forty-seven (in red), containing by admeasurement five acres, more or less, situate in the Oxford Survey District. Bounded towards the North by the Dalethorpe Road, one thousand four hundred links; towards the North-east by the Coal Tramway Reserve, thirty-five links; towards the South-east by a road-line, nine hundred and forty links; and towards the South-west by Section number fourteen thousand nine hundred and fifty-five, one thousand and seventy-five links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby change the purpose, from a site for a gravel-pit to a school-site, of all that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being Reserve number one thousand six hundred and ninety-one (in red), containing by admeasurement five acres, more or less, situate in the Tengawai Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by a road-line, five hundred links; towards the North-west by Section number twenty-eight thousand two hundred and twenty-four, one thousand and two links; towards the South-west by said section, five hundred links; and towards the South-east by Section number nineteen thousand one hundred and ninety-seven, nine hundred and ninety-nine links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

Authorizing District Land Registrar at Dunedin to amend a Certificate of Title.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the District Land Registrar at Dunedin to amend the certificate of title to the Borough of Alexandra, Volume two, folio sixty-seven, dated the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, by including two disused road-lines as part of the borough endowment.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Otago.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby change the purpose, from a reserve for police purposes to a recreation-ground, of all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement forty-nine acres two roods thirty perches, more or less, situate in the Tokomairiro District, and being parts of Sections numbers one hundred and three and one hundred and four of Block twelve of said district. Bounded towards the North-west by parts of Sections numbers one hundred and eleven and one hundred and twelve of same block and district, two thousand nine hundred and ninety-eight links; towards the North-east by Section number one hundred and five of same block, forty links and three thousand three hundred and thirty-three links; towards the South-east by the main South Road five hundred and sixty-three links, by the Tokomairiro Farmers’ Club Reserve, including recent addition, six hundred links, also by the main south line of railway one thousand seven hundred and eighty links; towards the South-west by the Tokomairiro Farmers’ Club Reserve one thousand and thirty-two links, by part of said Section number one hundred and three one thousand nine hundred links, also by part of the Township of Milton one thousand two hundred links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; and intersected through that portion of Section number one hundred and four (now being described) by the main south line of railway about ninety links wide. As an addition to the Tokomairiro Recreation-ground.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

Bounded towards the North-west by other part of said Section number one hundred and four, two hundred links; towards the North-east by other part of said section, one thousand and thirty-two links; towards the South-east by the main South Road, two hundred links; and towards the South-west by the Tokomairiro Farmers’ Club Reserve, one thousand and thirty-two links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.
