Notice under “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the removal of such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situated in the District of Coromandel, Queen’s County, containing 29·75 perches, be the same a little more or less, and called or known by the name of Parangu No. 13, and numbered 2273, being the whole of the block of land comprised in the Crown grant registered in Vol. No. 3, page 55, of the Register of Deeds Office, Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of September, 1885.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Kawakawa Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 13126, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the said colony.

Prescribing Notice of Lien under Property Assessment Act.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of September, 1885.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by “The Property Assessment Act, 1885” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor in Council may from time to time make, alter, and revoke regulations for (inter alia) prescribing the forms of notices and other instruments mentioned in the said Act or necessary to give effect thereto: And whereas it is expedient to prescribe the form of notice of lien to be given by the Property-tax Commissioner under the said Act for the purpose hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby prescribe and declare that the form of notice of lien contained in the Schedule hereto shall be the form of notice to be used by the Property-tax Commissioner for the purpose of creating a lien against land in respect whereof property-tax may be payable under the said Act.
