NOTICE.—Notice is hereby given that the Mokihinui Coal Company (Limited) propose to construct a Railway under “The District Railways Act, 1877,” and amendments of the same, from a certain point upon the Mokihinui River-bank adjoining the company’s lease to a point on the western bank of the said river, and has caused the middle line and direction thereof to be set forth on a plan and described in a book of reference showing the lands required to be taken for the same and the owners and occupiers of such lands; and that copies of such plan and book of reference have been deposited for inspection at the County Office of the Buller County at Westport, and also at the Public Works Office in the City of Wellington, Colony of New Zealand.

TAKING LANDS FOR PUBLIC WORKS.

PARISH OF TAUPIRI, KIRIKIRIOA ROAD DISTRICT, COUNTY OF WAIKATO, PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, in terms of subsection 2, of section 10, “Public Works Act, 1882,” that it is the intention of the Kirikirioa Road Board to take the lands hereinafter mentioned for the purpose of forming a road or approach to the new bridge over the Whangamaire Creek, near Taupiri.

Description of Lands to be taken.

  1. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, the property of Messrs. McLean and Lowe, situate in the Survey Districts, Newcastle, Block IV., and Komokorau, Block I., being portion of Section No. 466, Parish of Taupiri, Waikato County; commencing at a point on the Whangamaire Creek, and bounded generally North-west by portion of said Allotment No. 466, 938·4 links; thence generally Northerly by a road, 100 links wide, 106·8 links; thence by other portion of Allotment No. 466, 940 links, to the Whangamaire Stream; thence by the said stream, 108 links or thereabouts, to the point of commencement.

  2. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, the property of Robert McKay or other person unknown, situate in the Survey Districts, Newcastle, Block IV., and Komokorau, Block I., being portion of Allotment No. 90, Parish of Taupiri, Waikato County; commencing at the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 81, Parish of Taupiri, and bounded towards the South-west by said Allotment, 1922 links; thence towards the North-west by portion of Allotment No. 90, 774·1 links; thence towards the North by the Whangamaire Creek, 103 links or thereabouts; thence towards the South-east by other portion of Allotment No. 90, 880·9 links; thence by said Allotment No. 90, 1879 links, to a road, 100 links wide; thence by said road, 100·2 links, to the point of commencement.

A plan and particulars may be inspected, for forty days from the date hereof, at the office of the Board, Kirikirioa, during which time objections in writing to the taking of such land and the construction of the proposed road may be addressed to the undersigned.
