SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land in the Parish of Puniu, County of Waikato, containing 33 acres, be the same a little more or less, being part of Allotment No. 14 of the said parish, and part of the land described in Vol. xxiv., folio 239, of the Register-book, and fully delineated upon those parts of a subdivision of the said Lot No. 14, marked respectively D and E upon such plan. Bounded towards the North-east by Allotment No. 344, 900 links; towards the South-east and East by a road-line, 1331 links; towards the South by a road-line, 745 links; towards the South-west by a road-line, 1085 links; and towards the North-east by a road-line, 2085 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of September, 1885.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Kawakawa Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 13126, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the said colony.

Revoking Regulation extending Close Season for Rock-oysters in Hauraki Gulf, &c.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of September, 1885.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time make, alter, and revoke regulations for the purposes therein mentioned, which said regulations shall have force and effect only in any waters or places specified therein:

And whereas by an Order in Council dated the fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, a regulation was made, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, extending the close season for rock-oysters, in respect of the places specified therein, until the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven:

And whereas it is expedient to revoke the regulation made by such Order in Council, except so far as regards Whangarei Harbour:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby make the following regulation:—

The regulation made by the said Order in Council bearing date the fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, extending the close season for rock-oysters until the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, in respect of Whangarei Harbour, the Great Barrier Island, and the foreshore of the coast and of all islands in Hauraki Gulf and Frith of Thames south of a line drawn from Cape Colville to the northern point of Whangaparoa Peninsula, is hereby revoked, except in so far as it relates to Whangarei Harbour.

Trustee appointed for the Skipper’s Point Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

FREDERICK OLSEN

to be a Trustee, in the place of William Caldwell, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Skipper’s Point Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

Officer appointed to grant Licenses under Section 15 of “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me in that behalf by “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint William Horton Revell, Esquire, a Resident Magistrate for the District of Otago Goldfields, to exercise, in terms of section fifteen of the said Act, a special authority in the granting of publicans’ licenses within the district the limits of which are defined in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the County of Southland, bounded towards the North by Vincent County; towards the South-east by Tuapeka County to the dividing range between the White-coombe Creek and the Argyle Creek; thence by the summit of that range to Trig. Station K, Wart Hill Survey District; thence towards the South-west by a right line to Trig. Station H (Titan Rocks); and thence by a right line to Rocky Mount.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

Conditions for Trout-fishing in Southland.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Salmon and Trout Act, 1867,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby make the following regulations for the District of Southland:—

  1. Any holder of a license as hereinafter mentioned may fish with rod and line for trout in the Orawia, Oreti, Makarewa, Otamita, Eyre, and Mataura Rivers, and their tributaries, from the first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, to the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, both inclusive.

  2. Licenses to fish with rod and line in the said rivers and streams will be issued under the hand of the Secretary
