Land taken for Further Portion of Kaipara-Waikato Railway (Additional Land at Pokeno Station).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for further portion of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, namely, additional land at Pokeno Station:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 7 perches, being a portion of original Section No. 16; commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment No. 6D of Section No. 6 of the subdivision called or known by the name of McLean’s Township. Bounded—South-easterly by the middle of the old bed of the Tani Te Whiora Stream to the present course of the said stream; South-westerly by the present course of the Tani Te Whiora Stream to the middle of the old bed of the same; North-westerly by the middle of the old bed of the stream aforesaid to its intersection by the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve; North-easterly by the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve aforesaid, 240 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 5 perches, being a portion of original Section No. 16; commencing at a point on the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve 100 links distant westerly from its intersection by the north-western side of Ford Street, of the subdivision called or known by the name of McLean’s Township. Bounded—Generally South-easterly, Southerly, and Westerly by the middle of the old bed of the Tani Te Whiora Stream to its intersection by the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve; North-easterly by the Railway Reserve aforesaid, 100 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 perches, being a portion of original Section No. 15; commencing at a point on the southern boundary of the Railway

Reserve at a distance westerly of 516 links or thereabouts from its intersection by the north-western side of Ford Street, of the subdivision called or known by the name of McLean’s Township. Bounded—South-easterly by the middle of the old bed of the Tani Te Whiora Stream to the present course of that stream; South-westerly and Westerly by the present course of the stream aforesaid to the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve; and North-easterly by the Railway Reserve, 65 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 28 perches, being a portion of Ford Street, of a subdivision of original Section No. 15, called or known by the name of McLean’s Township; commencing at a point on the north-western side of Ford Street being the place of its intersection by the southern side of the Railway Reserve. Bounded—North-easterly by the Railway Reserve, 101·6 links; South-easterly by a line, 127 links; Southerly generally by the Tani Te Whiora Stream; North-westerly by the north-western side of Ford Street, 202 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 31 perches, being a portion of High Street, of a subdivision of original Section No. 15, called or known by the name of McLean’s Township; commencing at a point on the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve being the place of its intersection by the north-western side of High Street aforesaid. Bounded—North-easterly by the Railway Reserve, 101·6 links; South-easterly by part of the south-eastern boundary of High Street 127 links, and by the Tani Te Whiora Stream; North-westerly by part of the north-western boundary of High Street aforesaid, 287 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 10 perches, being a portion of Church Street, of a subdivision of original Section No. 15, called or known by the name of McLean’s Township; commencing at a point on the southern boundary of the Railway Reserve being the place of its intersection by the north-western side of Church Street aforesaid. Bounded—North-easterly by the Railway Reserve, 101·6 links; South-easterly by part of the south-eastern side of Church Street aforesaid, 312 links; South-westerly by the Tani Te Whiora Stream; North-westerly by part of the north-western side of Church Street aforesaid, 322 links, to the commencing point.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 17 perches, being part of Allotment No. 6D of Section No. 6 of a subdivision of original Allotment No. 15, called or known by the name of McLean’s Township; commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot No. 19 of said Section No. 6. Bounded—South-easterly by Ford Street, 105 links; Southerly and Westerly by the Tani Te Whiora Stream; North-westerly by the middle of the bed of the old course of the aforesaid stream to the Railway Reserve; North-easterly by part
