N accordance with the provisions of “The Foreign
Companies Act, 1884,” notice is hereby given that
the Australasian Mutual Live-stock Insurance Society
(Limited) proposes to commence and carry on business in
the offices of the Accident Insurance Association of New
Zealand, in High Street, Dunedin.

OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately sub-
sisting between us, the undersigned EDWARD FOX
SAINSBURY and EDWARD SALLOWS ELLISDON, carrying on
business at Dunedin as Drug Importers, under the style or
firm of “Sainsbury, Ellisdon, and Co.,” has been dissolved
as from the first day of January, 1885, so far as regards the
said Edward Fox Sainsbury, who retires from the firm.

All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be
received and paid by the said Edward Sallows Ellisdon and
Frederick Denhame Gibson.

As witness our hands this twenty-second day of October,
1884.

, DAVID MATHEWSON NAIRN, Licentiate of the Royal
College of Physicians, Licentiate of the Royal College
of Surgeons, Licentiate in Midwifery, Edinburgh, now resid-
ing in the Town of Blenheim, hereby give notice that I intend
to apply, on the 17th day of February next, to be registered
under “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869;” and that I
have deposited evidence of my qualifications with the Regis-
trar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, at Picton, in terms of
the said Act.

OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between DUNCAN BARCLAY MCLAREN and
EDWARD DENNITTS WILLCOX, trading in Christchurch, New
Zealand, as Seed and Grain Brokers, under the firm of “D.
B. McLaren and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent
as from the thirty-first day of December, 1884. All moneys
owing to the said partnership are to be paid to the said
E. D. Willcox, who will discharge all sums owing by the
late firm.

IVING the Names, Addresses, and Occupations of
Owners of Land within the Colony, together with the
Area and Value in Counties, and the Value in Boroughs and
Town Districts, compiled from the Assessment Rolls of the
Property-Tax Department as at the 1st October, 1882.
The names of Freeholders are printed in alphabetical
order; and all land owned by them, in whatever part of the
colony, appears opposite their respective names, thus enabling
the total capital value of each person's freehold property to
be seen at a glance.
The book also contains a Return of the Lands held by
Banks, Insurance Companies, and Companies registered as
Corporations with Limited Liability.
As a Directory the book will be found of great value, as
it contains the most complete and reliable information, and
includes the names of over 71,000 colonists.
The book can be obtained at the Government Stationery
Store, Wellington.
