SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Parish of Puniu, County of Waikato, containing 33 acres, be the same a little more or less, being part of Allotment No. 14 of the said parish, and part of the land described in Vol. xxiv., folio 239, of the Register-book, and fully delineated upon those parts of a subdivision of the said Lot No. 14, marked respectively D and E upon such plan. Bounded towards the North-east by Allotment No. 344, 900 links ; towards the South-east and East by a road-line, 1331 links ; towards the South by a road-line, 745 links ; towards the South-west by a road-line, 1085 links ; and towards the North-east by a road-line, 2085 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Native Land taken for Portion of Wellington-Napier Railway (from 72 miles to 78 miles from Napier).

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Wellington-Napier Railway (from seventy-two to seventy-eight miles from Napier) shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of “The Land Act, 1877,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, West Coast (North Island), Hawke’s Bay, Otago, and Westland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 12 acres and 8 perches, more or less, situate in Block VIII. of the Survey District of Drury, Provincial District of Auckland, being Lot No. 136 of Section No. 2, Parish of Opaheke. Bounded towards the North by a branch of the Hingia Creek ; on the East by Lot No. 135 of the Parish of Opaheke aforesaid, 920 links ; towards the South generally by the Great South Road, 175, 625, 215, 460, and 350 links ; and towards the West by Lot No. 39 of the Parish of Opaheke aforesaid, 290 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a cemetery.
WEST COAST (NORTH ISLAND).
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 14 perches, more or less, being Section No. 52, Pihama Village Settlement. Bounded towards the North-east by the Titahi Road ; towards the South-east by Section No. 53 ; towards the South-west by the South Road ; and towards the North-west by Sections Nos. 36 and 22 : as the same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, New Plymouth. For a school site.
HAWKE’S BAY.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Tahoraiti Survey District, Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, being Section No. 1, Block V., Village of Kumerou. For a recreation-ground.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, being Section No. 36, Tikokino Agricultural Reserve, Block XVI., Wakarara Survey District, containing 53 acres 1 rood 20 perches. For a recreation-ground.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, being Section No. 38, Tikokino Agricultural Reserve, Block XVI., Wakarara Survey District, containing 1 acre. For a cemetery reserve.
OTAGO.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situate in the Township of Otara, and being Sections Nos. 5, 6, 7, and 8 respectively of Block I. of said town. Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively of same block and town, 500 links ; towards the East by Black Street, 200 links ; towards the South by Sections Nos. 10 and 9 respectively of same block, 500 links ; and towards the West by Sinclair Street, 200 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 26 perches, more or less, situate in the Township of Otara, and being Section No. 1 of Block III. of said township. Bounded towards the North by Richardson Street, 876 links ; towards the East by Reynolds Street, 499 links ; towards the South by Section No. 3 of same block, 876 links ; and towards the West by Black Street, 499 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For school grounds.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, situate in the Town of Waikai, and being Sections Nos. 4 and 5 respectively of Block III. of said town. Bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 6 of same block, 200 links ; towards the North-east by Section No. 3 of same block, 250 links ; towards the South-east by Blaydon Street, 200 links ; and towards the South-west by Wylam Street, 250 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for an athenæum.
WESTLAND.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Westland, containing 1 rood 38 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 256 (in red), Block IX., Hohonu Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Whitcombe Street, 62 and 99 links ; towards the East by Dobson Street, 250 links ; towards the South by Tuke Street, 135 and 98 links ; and towards the West by Drake Street, 250 links. For a cemetery.
