on which the land shall be open for application; and that he
may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred pay-
ments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by
any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter,
amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on
deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the second day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, shall
be the day on which the said land shall be open for appli-
cation, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selec-
tion map in the principal land office of the district.
In pursuance of section four of "The Land Act 1877
Amendment Act, 1879," I do hereby declare that subsection
four of the sixty-third section of "The Land Act, 1877," shall
not apply to the land described in the Schedule hereto.
And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of "The
Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do hereby fix the
price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the
price stated in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The Land Act,
1877," it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclama-
tion in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of
any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of
land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on
deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and that he
may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred pay-
ments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by
any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter,
amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Hawke's Bay did, on the
twenty-ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-five, pass a resolution recommending that the land
described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart
for sale on deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
